How to get there...

... by plane

From Munich airport to Augsburg central station:

Take the underground (S8) to Munich central station and then take a train (there are trains about every 15 minutes).

At Augsburg central station cross the court and take tram no. 3 (during the day there is a tram every 5 minutes) in the direction "Haunstetten West" to "Berufsbildungswerk / Institut für Physik" (one after "Universität", press "stop" to indicate your intention to exit, takes about 15 min). You then face the Institute. We are located in the south part of the buildings (the one with the colorful pillars in front).

... by train:

Or by taxi: Starting from the main railway station head in direction "Rotes Tor" and follow the road "Haunstetter Straße". In "Haunstetten" turn right into "Bürgermeister-Ulrich-Straße" up to the turn off "Hugo-Eckener-Straße". Ask the driver to drop you at tram stop "Berufsbildungswerk / Institut für Physik". You then face the Institute. We are located in the south part of the buildings (the one with the colorful pillars in front).

... by car:

A8 (from Munich or Stuttgart) take exit "Augsburg-West". Go ahead on B17 in the direction Landsberg/Lech, take exit "Friedberg A.-Zentrum Messse-Uni-Zoo". Turn right at the next traffic lights (at the footbridge) into "Universitätsstraße". Go along "Universitätsstraße" and turn right at the sign "PHYSIK". You then face the Institute. We are located in the south part of the buildings (the one with the colorful pillars in front).
