Molekulare Leitfähigkeit unter Laseranregungen: Einfluss von Coulomb-Abstoßung

We derive a master equation for the electron transport through molecular wires in the limit of strong Coulomb repulsion. This approach is applied to typical setups in molecular transport: First, we study transport through a static open conduction channel for which we find that the current exhibits an ohmic-like behaviour. We explore the transport properties of a static bridged molecular wire, where the current decays exponentially as a function of the wire length. For both situations, we discuss the differences to the case of non-interacting electrons and the influence of a Rotating wave approximation. Second, we study the transport through driven systems. A driven bridged molecular wire shows drastically enhanced resonance peaks, while the effects on a nonadiabatic electron pump are only in the order of a few percent. The coherent destruction of tunneling in an open transport channel is also observed in the Coulomb blockade regime, while the same length dependence as in the static case is observed.
