    Experimental tests of scattering theory by means of microwave resonators
    Spectra and electric field distributions are measured in flat two-dimensional microwave cavities. On the one hand side the spectra are investigated and the distribution of reflection coefficients, Poisson kernel and the poles themselves are investigated and compared to results obtained from scattering theory for chaotic billiards. In case of the field distributions predictions from the random plane wave model for wave functions, flows, and vortices are verified.
