Welcome to our homepage. The following images show examples of our research. For further information, please use the menu on the left.
graphite surface measured with an STM at 5K Orbital of an electron in a square shaped metallic loop. The edge of the square is 208 atoms long, the orbital thus extends over approx. 100nm.

Small ring patterned with electon beam lithography containing a high mobility electron gas formed at an SrTiO3/LaAlO3 Interface. graphite surface measured with an STM at 5K
graphite surface measured with an STM at 5K AFM-image with the highest resolution ever obtained (77 pm). Subatomic structures are visible within single tungsten atoms.
The simultaneously recorded STM image (please move the cursor on image) shows the atomic positions. Image size 500 × 500 pm2.
