... if you come by train
Augsburg is a major railway
hub and is easily reached, e.g., in half an hour from Munich.
From Augsburg station ("Hauptbahnhof"), take the tramway no. 3 in
direction "Inninger Straße". It leads directly to the University.
Our tramway stop is "Berufsbildungswerk / Institut für Physik", being one stop
after "University".
You can buy your tram ticket inside the tram.
There are trams every 5 minutes between 7.00 am to 6.00 pm and every 15 minutes
after 6 pm. It will take you about 20 minutes to come to the University by tram from the rail station.

... if you come by car
Augsburg is reached via the Autobahn A8
Stuttgart-München.
Take the exit "Augsburg-West", heading
southward (direction Landsberg/Lech). Follow the four-lane road
B17 for several kilometers to the other end of the city and leave
at the exit "Neue Universität/Messegelände". Then you can find yourself on the
map (Fig. 2) below, in the upper left corner
(Friedrich-Ebert-Straße).
Turn right near the "Messe"
(pedestrian bridge crosses the street) and follow the street (Universitätsstraße) for about 400 meters.
Turn right after the first big building on the right.
Our EKM building is the second of the two physics buildings. It is
easily recognized by the colored columns in front. It is marked as building S on the
map.
We are at the floor no. 2 (that's in fact the first floor) in the
areas 2B and 2C.
