We are investigating the local electronic and magnetic properties of strongly correlated matter by means of electron spin resonance (ESR) as well as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in a wide range of temperatures (30mK - 1000K) and in magnetic fields up to 11T. The materials of interest...

Optical and THz Spectroscopy
We investigate the response of solids to electromagnetic radiation by using THz and optical spectroscopy in a frequency range from 5 - 40000 cm-1 in the temperature range from 4-500 K and magnetic fields up to 7T. The available experimental setups include two Fourier-transform infrared spectrometers, a Mach-Zehnder type submillimeter spectrometer, and a pulsed time-domain THz spectrometer.
Synthesis and caracterization
In addition to our key methods dielectric spectroscopy, optical spectroscopy, ESR and NMR, in our group a large variety of sample characterization methods are available. For example, X-ray diffraction is used for structural characterization, calorimetric measurements...
