The aim of the experimental work in this dissertation was the synthesis and complete characterization of new metal-organic frameworks using bis-1,2,3-triazolate ligands. The main focus was on the development of organic syntheses for the preparation of new bistriazolate ligands. The bifunctional 1,2,3-triazoles differ from each other in their molecular size, geometry and electronic properties. Common for all these ligands is a bifunctional 1,2,3-triazolate unit, on which, beside the pyrazolate ligands, Volkmer et al. has specialized in the last years. These new synthesized organic ligands should later be applied to assemble novel metal-organic frameworks. Additionally, a variation of the inorganic unit in a metal-organic framework is considerable. Zinc salts were mainly applied in this work, but also a copper salt was used to build up one network. In detail, five new organic bis-1,2,3-triazolate ligands were synthesized within this dissertation, in addition to the formerly known organic ligands for MFU 4 (1H,5H-benzo(1,2-d:4,5-d%92)bistriazole = H2-BBTA) and MFU 4large (Bis(1H-1,2,3-triazole[4,5-b][4%92,5%92-i]dibenzo[1,4]dioxine = H2-BTDD). Furthermore to the characterization of organic molecules, three new crystalline and permanently porous metal-organic frameworks, featuring some very interesting properties, were successfully prepared.
